Africa has a youth bulge that presents an opportunity. However, a jobless generation will turn Africa rising into an African uprising. Where are the opportunities and how can one ensure these are fully realised? This session will contextualize the African opportunity within a global context as well as look at the challenges that it needs to overcome. The panel will amongst others look at where some of Africa's business leaders are investing; how policy changes can lead to significant investments; the rise of special economic zones; and the impact on technology in what is being dubbed the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

With 65% of the world's uncultivated land, Africa will determine the future of food for the world. The African Development Bank values commercial agriculture at more than US$1 trillion business by 2030. However, lack of access to land, finance, markets and technologies are barriers that need to be overcome. This session proposes to find sustainable and market driven solutions for the Agriculture sector in Africa.

Continuing on the theme of industrialisation and promoting fast and diversified growth, this session will look at special economic zones, the opportunities that these present for both investors and also companies (young entrepreneurs) wanting to re-locate there.

Entrepreneurship is flourishing in Africa, many incubators, accelerators, co-working spaces are being established every year in African countries. If Africa is to capitalize on new disruptive technologies and new business models, many successful African entrepreneurs will need to scale up their ventures beyond the limits of their small local markets and branch out into other African markets. Promoting cross-border entrepreneurship is an enormous task that no single organization can do alone. Stakeholders' cooperation is urgently needed. This session will discuss policies, programs, and initiatives needed to encourage and promote regional integration through cross border entrepreneurship.
